There are thousands of plastic water cups, which material should you choose to feel safe?Currently, there are five main materials for plastic water cups on the market: PC, tritan, PPSU, PP, and PET.
❌Cannot choose: PC, PET (don’t choose water cups for adults and babies)
PC can easily release bisphenol A when heated, and bisphenol A can cause endocrine disorders, interfere with the reproductive system, and induce precocious puberty in children. It is an out-and-out chronic D drug!
PET has a temperature resistance of 65℃. Once the rated temperature is exceeded, it can easily release harmful substances. Scientific research has found that PET plastic products can release carcinogens within one month of use and are toxic to male testicles.
✅Available to choose: Tritan, PPSU, PPTritan material does not contain bisphenol A, bisphenol S or any bisphenol substances, and is extremely safe. However, the temperature resistance of tritan is -10-96°C, so it is not recommended to install 100-degree hot water.
PPSU is a new safe material, polyphenylsulfone, which does not contain bisphenol A. Its internal structure is relatively stable and can withstand continuous 180-degree high-temperature sterilization. It is also more resistant to falling, because the bottle body is relatively light and not easy to shatter.
Baby bottles and water cups made of ppsu material will not produce toxic substances after repeated high-temperature sterilization. They do not contain bisphenol A and can withstand high temperatures of 180 degrees. Therefore, if you are used to storing hot water or high-temperature disinfection, PPSU material is the first choice.
PP plastic water cups are made of polypropylene, which has good thermal stability and insulation, is safe and harmless to the human body. However, it should be noted that water cups made of PP cannot be steamed at high temperatures for a long time, otherwise they will easily cause aging.
Let’s take a look at what material your water cup is made of?
